Title:” Blessing the Church”
Size: 36 x 42 acrylic on canvas
Description: The photo does not do justice to this piece. The use of pallete knife brings bold thick strokes to the image. My rendering of Matthew”s gospel which describe Christ Bllessing the Church. When Christ said “I stand at the door and knock”. Maybe a misinterpretation to think he was standing at the church door. Would he today? Maybe more important is that the door is open.

Entitled: Dante’s Inferno”
Size: 36 x 42 acrylic on canvas
Description: A divine comedy, probably the epic work of Italian Literature, Allegorically represents the soul’s journey towards God. It is divided into 3 parts  one- the inferno which I envision in this piece ” Dante’s travel through hell”.

This piece 39 x 45 is one of my more recent. ” Fly my thoughts, on wings of Gold”. I have used palette knife and an acrylic compound to give a heavy impasto style. I believe most of us in a weak moment would admit that we have wanted to fly. No not on an airplane but levitate. To sprout wings and SOAR ! Enough said regarding the medium. The title is from Giuseppe Verdi’s first successful opera in 1842. It relates to the biblical story of the captivity of the Hebrews in Babylon in the 6th century. A paraphrase of Psalm 137 sung on the banks of the Euphrates.  SOLD
